Leicester is most improved city for competitiveness

Leicester was named as one of the most improved cities for business competitiveness as well as being marked as a city with growing competitiveness according to the UK Competitiveness Index 2008. The UKCI provides a benchmark of competitiveness across localities and regions.

Leicester was listed as one of the most improved cities for development and sustainability of business since the last index of 2006. London boroughs exclusively made the top five and other top cities included Guilford, St Albans and Cambridge.
