UK Online Music come back?
Internet NewsPRS for Music have announced their new rates for online music streaming services, reducing per stream minimum from 0.22p to 0.085p. These changes are said to be effective as of July 1st 2009.
Unable to come to an agreement with the PRS over licensing fees, even Google owned You Tube blocked premium music videos in the UK earlier in 2009. Music videos affected were those supplied or clamed by record labels. Stating that negotiations are continuing and expressing hope that professional music videos will be available to stream as before for UK visitors to the You Tube site. Hopefully the new online music-streaming rate will mean good news for UK Internet users.
